Las ciencias computacionales se han reafirmado como una disciplina revolucionaria que avanza tanto en sus propios esfuerzos, como potenciando el trabajo de otras ciencias. Dos ramas computacionales que actualmente se investigan con auge, y que se implementan también en otras disciplinas, son la Web Semántica y la Computación Cognitiva. En este artículo presentamos una perspectiva general de cada área, así como algunos ejemplos de aportaciones significativas en otras ciencias.
