Aboriginal cultural resistance in the formation of Cuban nationality

Abstract

This article is a study of bibliographic systematization on the legacy of the aboriginal component to Cuban culture. The research starts from a problematic situation supported by the lack of studies that address the issue of the importance of cultural heritage in the formation of nationality. The article is structured in sections, which address the origin and physical and social characteristics of the first inhabitants, a synthesis of the most significant studies carried out in Cuba on the subject, the antagonisms from the rebellions and the cultural legacy. The work was carried out following the paradigm of qualitative research, using theoretical methods such as bibliographic review and collation of various sources.
