Abstract

In this issue we will look at topics as diverse as dermatoglyphics, the study of fingerprints, palm prints and plantar prints and their potential in sports and health sciences in Mexico. Also, we will discuss the development of children during the stage of 3 to 6 years of age and its significance for their future academic performance. In addition, they will explain about three protein extraction techniques, currently used in proteomics, to determine the most efficient to perform two-dimensional electrophoresis (2-DE) in brain tissue and rat peripheral blood lymphocytes. They will also explain how to establish genetic improvement programs in pine varieties, which is essential to know the diversity of its genetic resources. Likewise, the topics of nutrient bioavailability will be discussed in order to know in depth these processes of enzymatic biotransformation, which is important for an adequate management and use of organic waste. Finally, we will learn about an experimental design to know the average annual temperatures, average maximum and average minimum temperatures in the state of Florida, USA.

  • César Humberto Rivera Figueroa, UACH. Editor en Jefe

    Es Ingeniero Agrónomo con orientación en Fitotecnia por parte de la Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua. Tiene Maestría en Ciencias con especialidad en Genética por parte de la Escuela Nacional de Agricultura y especialidad en Horticultura por parte de New Mexico State University. Cuenta con un Doctorado en Ciencias con orientación en Genética, Fisiología y Estadística por parte de New Mexico State University. Se ha desempeñado como Jefe del Departamento de Investigación de la Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua desde 2005. Cuenta con experiencia como Jefe del Departamento de Posgrado, 2009 – 2010. Ha fungido como Investigador Titular “A” en el centro de Investigación en Alimentación y Desarrollo A.C. 1997 – 1999.

    Se ha desarrollado como Jefe “L” de Servicios Federales en el Departamento de Zonas Áridas en la Escuela Nacional de Agricultura, 1975 – 1976. Tiene experiencia como Catedrático de la Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua y otras escuelas a nivel nacional.
