Abstract

This article refers to a didactic experience of the workshop "Tlachtli: The art of sharing in the ball game" in the framework of the XXVI International Congress of Physical Culture 2022. Objective, to value the cultural heritage in the appropriation of the ball game from the decolonization of knowledge for the strengthening of the common. The toltequity from its cosmovision, regardless of interpretations, faults and Eurocentric manipulations, proposes the configuration of the personality based on understanding the Toltec as a wise person who manifests a moral and intellectual identity committed to his society for a good living. The workshop outlined philosophical, pedagogical and didactic foundations that contribute to the formation and professional performance in physical culture by orienting the teaching and learning process from a scientific posture. Conclusion, the recovery of native games and sports as a cultural heritage strengthens the national and professional identity of the physical educator.
