The following paper, explores the work of Uruguayan writer Gabriel Calderón and the potential of dramaturgy science fiction, to problematize the reading of reality. In order to do this, we will use the theoretical postulates from Omar Nieto, specifically on his proposal for a fantastic postmodern system. Furthermore, the conceptual approach with the concept of “cold men” in Theodor Adorno’s theory and “the banality of evil” from Hana Arendt, will allow us to develop a critical view of the otherness in the dramatic proposal. The work Or: tal vez la vida sea ridícula, inquire into the human nature and its links, starting by a provocative premise: the military forces were not guilty for the disappearances during the dictatorship, in reality the disappearances were the product of alien abduction. But is not only a look at the past from science fiction, because the alien return proposes the review of present circumstances and the vexing possibility of being condemned to repeat the most fatal events in our history
