Abstract

Technology transfer is understood as the transfer of practical and theoretical skills from the owner to the external users or beneficiaries of a technology. It refers to the complex process of sharing knowledge and adapting technologies to suit local conditions. This strengthens the human technological capacity of a region, state or country. Historically, in the state of Chihuahua, technological research oriented to agricultural activities has been carried out by the Faculty of Animal Husbandry of the Autonomous University of Chihuahua, and by the federal government through the Institute of Forestry, Agriculture and Livestock Research (INIFAP). In the natural resources sector, the Centro de Investigaciones en Recursos Naturales (CIRENA) and the Centro de Investigaciones Sobre la Sequía (CEISS), based in Salaices and Aldama, Chihuahua, respectively, are also participating in this process.
