The article presents a possible reading of the story “The strange flying objects” by Cristina Peri Rossi (first story of the anthology Los museos abandonados, published by Arca in 1968), focused on the installation of different mechanisms of power over bodies of the couple of old protagonists, María and Lautaro. Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari (2016) explain the installation of the capitalist order in the immanence of existence through the axiomatic, which, unlike codes, establishes a new order of reality implicitly through a change of perception and execution of life. The problem of perception and the establishment of a new diagram of existence takes carnality on the bodies of the characters and within their eyes. Focus will be placed on the nature of control (Deleuze, 1999) of the existence in the story, manifested through the transformation and disappearance of certain forms, landscapes, bodies, lives
