System for the analysis of chronic non-communicable diseases and their risk factors

Data analysis is defined as the process of cleaning, transforming and modeling data, with the aim of finding information that is useful in making decisions for any sector. The health sector does not have basic statistics generated by a platform that can allow interpretation by decision makers in the development of new strategies. This project seeks to analyze the data on diabetes as a chronic non-communicable disease and the risk factors that affect the population of Panama collected in the AmIHealth medical platform. Through these analyzes, it will be possible to study the reasons that make the Panamanian population suffer from some of the non-communicable chronic diseases. The development of this project was based on an agile methodology, which will develop a functional web system. The system was validated through the application of user surveys, demonstrating its effectiveness. The main contribution focuses on providing information for decision-making, focused on the governance and development of the country.
