The internationalization of education is a key factor in the global educational landscape. This is the reason why it has been supported by important efforts at the global level, including initiatives of organizations such as UNESCO, which promotes academic cooperation and cultural exchange between countries. These efforts have facilitated the creation of student mobility programs, inter-institutional collaborations and the adoption of international standards of educational quality; however, the success of these programs depends, to a large extent, on the models designed to carry out this management. That is why this essay seeks to analyze the academic mobility model of the Autonomous University of Chihuahua, with the objective of identifying the key variables of the program and to make a scheme that facilitates the detection of the strategies required for its correct evaluation. To do so, a chart was created showing the process steps and classified according to three stages: pre-study, stay and post-stay, relating them to the specific challenges of each of these periods. The indicators of the variables and their purpose were also integrated. As a result, a scheme is proposed to facilitate the implementation of actions to evaluate the academic mobility program.
