Peer-review process

Review Process

• Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal's OJS platform, following the registration of the authors.
• Submissions to Economicus Journal of Business and Economics Insights (JBEI) will initially be evaluated by the journal's Editorial Committee.
• As a first step, and as a plagiarism prevention policy, Economicus JBEI reserves the right to review submitted manuscripts using anti-plagiarism software. Additionally, the manuscripts will be evaluated considering the 12 most common types of "non-original" material as identified by © Turnitin, LLC. (https://www.turnitin.com/es/infographics/prevencion-de-plagio).

• Only those works that meet scientific and editorial standards and align with the journal's objectives will undergo a "double-blind" peer-review process. In this case, the manuscripts will be sent to at least two reviewers who are experts in the research topic.
Economicus JBEI follows a strict double-blind peer review process, ensuring the anonymity of both authors and reviewers.
• Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the article may be deemed publishable, publishable with changes, or not publishable.
• If any of the aforementioned practices are detected, or if the document has a similarity index greater than 10%, the manuscript will be rejected for publication.
Economicus JBEI prohibits the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in manuscripts. If the document contains a percentage of AI usage greater than 10%, the manuscript will be rejected for publication.
• Submission of articles does not imply an obligation on the part of the Editorial Committee of Economicus JBEI to proceed with their publication. Within a maximum period of forty (40) days, the evaluation results will be communicated to the corresponding author via the OJS platform, along with the final decision regarding the article's publication.
• The peer review process will never exceed sixty (60) days; this period is reserved exclusively for articles where there is controversy among the reviewers regarding their suitability, requiring the intervention of a third reviewer for resolution.
• After the corresponding author receives the review, a period of fifteen (15) days will be granted to address any comments. Lack of response within this period will be interpreted as a lack of interest from the authors in continuing the publication process, and any editorial commitment between the parties will be considered terminated.
• Accepted articles will be published through the OJS platform, with notification sent to the corresponding author.
• All unforeseen cases will be resolved by the Editorial Committee, and all decisions are final.
