Abstract

The article that is presented constitutes an approach to the hermeneutical exercise and is applied in the story “The guest”, by Amparo Dávila. It was carried out with some indications of the analogical method proposed by Beuchot in the Manual of hermeneutics. A comparison is made with other texts by the same author that allow us to identify specific characteristics of this type of literature. The objective continues to analyze the story from the intra and intertextuality and the symbolic question. The main results of the analysis reflect the transgression from normality to despair, sociocultural aspects, context such as feminism and maternal relationships, in addition to the horror in an unknown entity that involves readers directly with the story.
