Abstract

Philosophical inquiries about real problems that anime can represent is a field that has increased in recent decades. Philosophy derives in manifestations that do not always adapt to its classical qualities, so it is necessary to extend its approaches in visual representations of international scope, as is the case of the cinematographic work of Hayao Miyazaki. This paper aims to analyze the ecology-ecosophy transition, the pessimism, as well as the power relations manifested in the work Princess Mononoke, to extend the understanding of these from the various situations covered in the film. For this purpose, a preliminary review of the different ethical nuances for reflection is shown, as well as a hermeneutic inquiry. Subsequently, the lines of research to which the development of the mentioned concepts will be able to be contributed will be illuminated.
