Abstract

The article explores the Uncharted video game franchise, identifying it as an example of transmedia narrative, whose story expands, deepens and crosses into different media, languages, platforms and supports of the digital age. The Uncharted transmedia universe is characterized by three central elements: a flow of content based on media convergence, the development of a participatory culture on the part of its fans, and the creation of collective intelligence spaces that approach the franchise as an instance of knowledge. The story proposed by the video game franchise acts in conjunction with mass and digital media to achieve a greater media and audience reach at the level of cultural consumption.
