Analysis of employment by fields of knowledge in the economic-administrative area in 2023

Abstract

Over the years, the problem of mismatch between the supply and demand of professionals in the labor market has been observed. Different sources have been analyzed and in most cases it has been concluded that this problem is caused by the heterogeneity of the labor supply, as well as by the changes constantly required by the demand. The objective of this paper is to perform a descriptive statistics analysis of employment in the field of business and accounting knowledge training, using microdata from the National Employment and Occupation Survey (ENOE) for the first quarter of 2023. The results show that the average monthly income by area and by occupational status is highest being officials and managers within the area of marketing and advertising, and, on the other hand, workers in personal services in the area of finance, banking and insurance have the lowest average monthly income.
