The following essay aims to present the characteristics and execution procedure of the Fuzzy Delphi Method (FDM), which is depicted as an extension of the traditional Delphi Method (D) for Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) scenarios characterized by high uncertainty, while seeking to observe the lever of agreement among experts. Additionally, a comparison is made between FDM and D, highlighting their main advantages and challenges. The method finds applications in several branches of knowledge such as Business, Economics, Medicine, Systems Engineering, Risk Management and Technology Transfer.
