Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published nor submitted for consideration to any other journal.
This requirement also applies to master's or doctoral theses that have been previously published in physical or digital repositories, as this could result in conflicts of interest and authorship or publication rights issues.
  • The corresponding author has ensured that the metadata includes complete information for all co-authors. Changes will not be permitted after submission. Each author must have an ORCID number and provide affiliation and contact details as indicated in the journal's template.
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word format, using the journal's template (download here), in Times New Roman or an equivalent 10-point font, single-spaced, and single-column text. All figures and tables are placed in their appropriate locations within the text rather than at the end, and the file complies with the instructions summarized in the Guidelines for authors.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in Guidelines for Authors.
  • Whenever possible, DOI or URL addresses are included for references.
  • The first step of the editorial process involves Economicus JBEI reviewing the work using Turnitin - Ithenticate. Submissions with a similarity score exceeding 10%, an AI-generated content rate over 10%, or missing citations will be rejected.
  • The Author contributions – CRediT Taxonomy section is included at the end of the document as shown in the template of the journal.
