The origin of human rights is attributed to multiple cultures in different historical moments, the problem with these claims is that they tend to be anachronistic, thus is necessary to contextualize these possible origins, comparing it with these cultures and times attitudes towards judicial torture, a practice so old and universal and also so opposite to the contemporary idea of human rights that facilitate to determine the axiological context to these attributable origins.
