The purpose of this paper is to analyse the cryptographic expert evidence in the Mexican civil procedure. Through the analytic method and documentary technique, the concept of evidence and its implications is addressed, also the legal provisions of the Codigo Nacional de Procedimientos Civiles y Familiares and some jurisdictional criteria on cryptographic expert evidence are studied. It was concluded that, although the means of proof provided by technology are included, the cryptographic expert evidence is not expressed in the Mexican civil process, as an exact mechanism of support in controversies about the falsity of a digital document.
