This paper analyzes electronic media´s possible contribution of peacebuilding in Mexico. Starting on the study of positive peace as an approach to developing a culture of peace, also digital violence is examined as a threat to peace in the digital world such as social media, and some formative elements are stated through which electronic media can contribute to the practice of values and behaviors. Finally, it is suggested that there is a need to legislate and update current legislation according to technological advances to peacebuilding.
