The representations of environmental public policies in the Colombian State have axes referring to the conservation of natural resources and biodiversity, they are also related to adaptation to the climatic phenomena of El Niño with its strong droughts and forest fires, and to the La Niña phenomenon with increases in rain, floods and avalanches. Today, more dynamic, preventive environmental policies and the management of natural resources, the participation of social actors, and all in itself, a unified policy that guarantees sustainable development and the supply of environmental goods and services are required.
