This paper aims to expose how the rights of indigenous peoples are protected and guaranteed in Mexico. Through the analytical method, laws on indigenous people from all Mexican states were studied to visualize protected and unprotected rights. Our results showed that a homogeneous harmonization of these laws with article 2º of the Political Constitution of Mexico has not been achieved. Respect, protection and guarantee of indigenous people´s human rights is limited in México.
