Physical activity program for detectives from Chihuahua City

Abstract

The regular practice of physical activity guides an increase in physical capacity and an improvement in body composition, Objective: Analyze physical capacities through the application of strength, flexibility and resistance exercises by through a physical activity program in a sample of detectives from the public security secretary of the state of Chihuahua. Method: A total of 36 detectives were analyzed, 6 women (16.6%) and 30 men (83.3%), in a convenience sample. For the analysis of the data, normality tests were carried out, as well as descriptive statistics to determine the arithmetic mean, the standard deviation and the minimum and maximum value Results: the first general evaluations showed a maximum of 50 (push-ups), 164 (abdominals), 13 (flexibility), while in the second evaluation a maximum of 54 (push-ups), 98 (abdominals), 16 (flexibility) is shown. Conclusions: The 4-week physical activity program was safe and capable of giving positive results, there are factors external to the research that influence the results of the intervention.
