Abstract

Leadership is a decisive factor in employees’ perception of organizational climate, directly influencing motivation, satisfaction, and productivity. The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between leadership and organizational climate in the hotel sector of the city of Chihuahua. A non-experimental, quantitative, applied, and cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted, using structured Likert-scale surveys applied to 148 employees from 17 four- and five-star hotels. The results revealed that 86.7% of employees perceive transformational leadership in their managers, while the main factors affecting the organizational climate are organization (82.28%) and working conditions (78.50%). It is concluded that transformational leadership positively influences the perception of the work climate, fostering commitment, motivation, and trust. These findings highlight the need to promote leadership practices focused on innovation, communication, and teamwork in the hotel sector of Chihuahua.
