Administration and sports are two fields that have been developed throughout human history. This essay analyzed the sport administration evolution and its increasing importance. Likewise, it is focused on the sports director, who has the responsibility to face every challenge and defiance present in the sports field and environment which is changing constantly. Through a systemic review, it is deduce the ideal professional profile of this leaders in sports organizations and institutions. Generated conclusions have the potential to contribute to driving the development, and sustainability of this organizations, always trough an approach, efficacy, and efficiency with the professionalization of sports directors and their appropriate orientation to reach the expected success.
