ABSTRACT:
In the contemporary business environment, competitiveness has become a cornerstone for the sustainable success of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Particularly in the service sector, where the quality of human interaction and customer satisfaction are crucial, the ability to adapt, effectively manage emotions, and maintain strong relationships becomes essential. In this context, emotional intelligence emerges as a determining factor in driving the performance and competitiveness of SMEs.
This scientific essay serves as an introduction to a broader investigation into the role of emotional intelligence in SMEs in the restaurant services sector in Chihuahua. Through a preliminary exploration, this document will discuss how emotional skills such as empathy, self-awareness, and stress management influence operational efficiency, service quality, and customer perception. Additionally, specific strategies and practices of emotional intelligence that can be implemented in these enterprises to enhance their performance and market position will be identified.
By providing a deeper understanding of the relationship between emotional intelligence and business success in the local context, this study aims to offer practical and relevant recommendations for service SMEs in Chihuahua. It is anticipated that the findings obtained will contribute to strengthening the competitive capacity and resilience of these enterprises in the face of current and future market challenges.
