Checklist for submission preparation

To submit a paper proposal, authors must register as users of the journal. With your username and password, you will be able to access the OJS platform that will guide you step by step in the process. The submission of a paper nor its possible future publication has no charge for the authors. 

We recommend that authors check their spam folder, as it is common for messages sent by the OJS platform (vocero@uach.mx) to be stored in this folder.

As part of the submission process, authors are required to ensure that their manuscript complies with all the elements listed below. Articles that do not meet this checklist for submission preparation nor the Guidelines for authors will be returned to the authors.

1. The submission has not been previously published nor is it under consideration by any other journal. This requirement also applies to master's or doctoral theses that have been previously published in physical or digital repositories, as this could lead to conflicts of interest and authorship and publication rights.

2. The corresponding author has ensured that the metadata includes complete information for all co-authors. Changes will not be allowed after submission. Each author must have an ORCID number and provide affiliation and contact details as indicated in the journal's template. Economicus JBEI will communicate with the corresponding author throughout the publication process. The corresponding author is responsible for keeping the co-authors informed about the progress of the process.

3. The submission file is in Microsoft Word format with Times New Roman font or equivalent, size 10 points, single spacing and a single column, and follows the Guidelines for authors. Please, use the Microsoft Word template provided by Economicus JBEI:

4. DOI or URL addresses for all the references are provided.

5. The Author contributions – CRediT Taxonomy section is included at the end of the document as shown in the template of the journal.

6. An Artificial Intelligence use section is included at the end of the document, in accordance with the journal’s IA use policy and is cited accordingly in the manuscript based on the APA Manual for IA transparency.

7. The first step of the editorial process involves Economicus JBEI reviewing the work using Turnitin - Ithenticate. Submissions with a similarity score exceeding 10%, or missing citations will be fully rejected, in addition to the undeclared use of IA.

8. If any of the journal's editorial standards are not met, the submission will be fully rejected.
