Abstract

This editorial of Economicus Journal of Business and Economics Insights addresses the global and regional connections that influence the local context. It is a contemporary and relevant theme, given the political, social, economic, and environmental conditions faced by businesses. It is therefore especially encouraging to note that the journal continues to evolve in its consolidation as a scientific space, articulating national and international topics with a critical and empirical interdisciplinary approach. An interdisciplinary perspective seeks to integrate concepts, perspectives, theories, and techniques from two or more fields, allowing for the crossing of conceptual and methodological boundaries and advancing knowledge. Interdisciplinarity is built through union, mutuality, and reciprocity in the collaboration of fields, which enriches scientific research.
