The Scientific Committee (National and International) of Economicus JBEI is composed of distinguished researchers from Ibero-American countries. Its members contribute academic expertise and leadership in the fields of economics, business, and social sciences, thereby strengthening the quality and international projection of the journal.

Editorial Team and Scientific Committee Functions

Editor-in-Chief

The Editor-in-Chief is the highest editorial authority of Economicus Journal of Business and Economics Insights (Economicus JBEI). He chairs the Scientific Committee and is responsible for ensuring the academic and methodological quality of the journal, as well as directing and coordinating the activities of the Editorial Team and the Scientific Committee.

According to international editorial management guidelines (PKP), the Editor-in-Chief oversees the entire process of article review, editing, and publication. His main functions include:

  • Evaluating the development and relevance of published content.
  • Making strategic decisions for each issue of the journal.
  • Representing Economicus JBEI institutionally before academic and scientific organizations.
  • Defining the global editorial vision and setting the guidelines for the editorial line.
  • Ensuring the quality of content and editorial excellence.
  • Coordinating the activities of the Editorial Team and the Scientific Committee.
  • Approving the final version of each issue, making the ultimate decision on the publication of articles and their assignment within each edition.
  • Preparing and supervising the review schedule and article delivery.

Associate Editors

The Associate Editors are founding members of Economicus JBEI, belonging to the Research Groups UACH‑CA‑157 and UACH‑CA‑143, and members of the SNII of SECIHTI.

Their main functions include:

  • Receiving original manuscripts and coordinating their distribution among external reviewers.
  • Assisting the Editor-in-Chief in all his functions, particularly in monitoring submissions (receipt, evaluation, and acceptance).
  • Verifying the correct application of submission guidelines, editorial design, and organization of the journal’s sections.
  • Supervising the flow of manuscripts and ensuring compliance with editorial standards and ethical principles.
  • Reviewing and correcting manuscripts, including abstracts, methodological aspects, and article style.
  • Monitoring the quality of reports issued by external reviewers.

Scientific Committee

The members of the Scientific Committee of Economicus Journal of Business and Economics Insights (JBEI) are appointed by the Editor-in-Chief, who also holds the authority to revoke such appointments. The committee may include university professors and researchers of recognized prestige, as well as members of educational institutions, governmental bodies, and international organizations related to economics, management, and the social sciences.

Main functions of the Scientific Committee:

  • Supervise the editorial content and guide the development of the journal in strategic and specialized areas.
  • Promote Economicus JBEI within their academic and professional fields, strengthening its visibility and reputation.
  • Facilitate collaborations with potential authors and encourage the participation of high-level researchers.
  • Collaborate with the Editor-in-Chief in designing the journal’s scientific strategy and in conducting periodic evaluations of results.
  • Propose, according to needs and expectations, the publication of special issues on topics of particular relevance.
  • Support the Editorial Team and provide conceptual and scientific guidance.
  • Serve as reviewers of the journal, ensuring the academic and methodological quality of published articles.

Guidelines for the composition of the Scientific Committee:

  • Institutional openness: At least one-third of the members must belong to institutions other than the Autonomous University of Chihuahua, the publishing institution of the journal. Likewise, at least one-third of the authors should not be members of the committee.
  • Geographical openness: At least one-third of the members must come from foreign institutions, ensuring academic diversity and international projection.
