Explorando la representación de género del trabajo de cuidado en revistas de negocios: Un análisis cuantitativo de contenido

Este estudio analiza las representaciones de género en artículos de perfil publicados entre 2018 y 2023 en tres principales revistas de negocios de Estados Unidos. Mediante un análisis sistemático de contenido, se comparan los perfiles de hombres y mujeres en cuanto a la frecuencia de aparición, el espacio asignado y la presencia de referencias al trabajo de cuidado y a las relaciones románticas. Aunque los hombres fueron perfilados con mayor frecuencia, la extensión promedio de los artículos no mostró diferencias significativas por género. Sin embargo, los perfiles femeninos presentaron significativamente más referencias recurrentes a roles de cuidado y parejas románticas. Estos resultados evidencian narrativas de género persistentes en los medios especializados en negocios y plantean interrogantes relevantes sobre la representación de las identidades profesionales y la vida privada en medios periodísticos de élite.
