Section Policies

Research papers

Research papers are the most important part of the journal, as they are total or partial results of research that contribute to the generation and application of new knowledge in the area of history and historiography of education. They are generally based on an exhaustive and up-to-date bibliographic review of the topic they address, carried out with a formal methodology that prioritizes the use of primary sources and their results are rigorously analyzed based on different types of conceptual tools. They are characterized by originality, relevance, relevance of the findings, management of specialized theory, methodology, consistency, argumentative clarity and quality of the writing. Theoretical papers

Theoretical papers are proposals based on the analysis of theoretical and methodological postures that contribute to the discussion and/or generation of knowledge in the area of educational history and historiography. Its essential purpose is the analysis of literature on a specific subject, in order to present the development of the theory to expand or refine constructs, as well as to generate new theory or present the consistencies/inconsistencies of the existing one. They are characterized by originality, relevance, relevance of the findings, management of specialized theory, methodology, consistency, argumentative clarity and quality of the writing. Reviews

The reviews should refer to publications (books, journals, memoirs, etc.) which, due to the relevance of their content, contribute to discussion and analysis in the field of History of Education. Preference is given to those that refer to current publications and those that are based on in-depth analysis of the work, so that they represent an invitation to their reading.
