All the content of the journal Debates por la Historia has a Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial license, which allows to share (copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format) and revision (remix, transform, and build taking the material as a start) for non-commercial purposes, giving the credits to the authors and the journal, as established by the license.

The open access and licensing policy with “some rights reserved” does not deny intellectual property or authors’ rights to their papers. As they are the headlines and the journalDebates por la Historia do not reserve them for themselves or for the publishing institution, As it adheres to open access movements such as the principles and values of the Redalyc Scientific Information System - Network of Scientific Journals of Latin America and the Caribbean, that they are fighting for the elimination of embargo policies so that the author may retain the rights of his work (principle number 8).

The authors may distribute their own material in any other medium or support, provided that it is for non-commercial purposes, informing the editors that the work will be published again and giving the corresponding credit to the journal Debates por la Historia.

The publication in the journal Debates por la Historia, because of its free character, does not give the authors, nor the dictators, the right to any economic remuneration.

Readers may reproduce (copy), communicate, distribute or make derivative works from papers or collaborations published in the journal Debates por la Historia in the following cases:

  1. For public purposes.
  2. No commercial purpose.
  3. That no alterations be made to the content.
  4. That the authorship of the work be recognized and its origin is cited with complete information: Author's last name(s), initial(s) of first name(s). (year of publication). Title of the paper. Journal name, volume (issue number), paper homepage-paper final page of the paper. DOI: Identifier number or retrieved from: Exact URL of the cited document (suggested format).

The editorial group of the journal Debates por la Historia will assume the commitment to notify authors promptly of any changes in the location of papers on the site (change of URL or connections to identify the paper).

The authors, when submitting their papers for possible publication, shall take into account the above points, which are provided for in the Inter-Author Agreement and the journal Debates por la Historia.
