Abstract

The objective of the study was to evaluate 16 sessions of work on coordinative and conditional abilities lasting 90 minutes. 27 university students enrolled in the free training area (AFEL) class at the Universidad Veracruzana participated, they came from 15 different degrees. As part of the methodology, balance, aerobic resistance, horizontal and vertical agility, quadrant test, arm strength test, as well as body composition, such as; body mass index, percentage of fat mass, lean mass and metabolic age were evaluated. The results and data analysis performed with Jamovi software version 2.3, shows first (pretest) that the average age of the 27 university students is 21.85 ± 3.88, in relation to the body mass index (BMI), there is a value of 27.23 ± 4.80, finding a maximum value of 39.00 and a minimum of 19.80, in relation to fat mass, the university students qualify with a value of 36.32 ± 10.92, the average value of lean mass is 28.64 ± 7.21 and likewise their metabolic age was calculated, which is 40.67 ± 11.45, finding a maximum value of 61 years and a minimum of 19. It is concluded that; It will be important for sports departments, directorates or areas of public and private universities in Mexico to develop practical interventions for their students through the implementation of physical education classes at least 3 times a week.
