Abstract

A comparative study is presented between the works of Amparo Dávila, the short story, El final de una lucha, and the film by director David Fincher, Fight Club, which in turn is based on the novel of the same name by Chuck Palahniuk. This with the thematological purpose that Armando Gnisci points out of finding and interpreting the various variations and metamorphoses of the theme over time, as well as the historical, ideological and intellectual contextual orientations, and demonstrating the adaptation of the constituent elements of the theme to the transformations of ideas and customs that are dynamic and evolutionary in nature.
