This essay is on Jorge Alan Flores Flores's recently published book, El mar mismo, scholarly yet also for a broad public. In a lucid, generous and beautiful manner he shares with us his reading of Enrique Servin's legacy as a poet, man of letters, translator, linguist, grammatician, advocate and companion of several Native American ethnicities –especially, the Ralámuli.
