Creative process and dissemination of culture through the choreographic piece Paquimé: Ceremonia equinoccial by Antonio Rubio and Socorro Chapa.

Abstract

This work addresses the dance piece "Paquimé: Ceremonia equinoccial" by artists Socorro Chapa and Antonio Rubio as a contribution to the collective identity of Chihuahua, through an approach to the cultural heritage represented by the Paquimé archaeological site, as well as a means of dissemination of the early anthropological works done in situ. The approach is made using primary sources, the authors, and a review of the bibliography concerning documents that detail the work. To carry out this research, interviews and narrative methods are applied, using the concepts of memory and collective identity as outcomes of the dissemination through artistic representation of the research-creation work about the Paquimé site.
