Síntesis del tiempo. Aproximaciones fenomenológicas de las representaciones del futuro en el Sci-fi Art

Abstract

The purpose of this research article is to understand, from Merleau-Ponty's phenomenology, how temporal synthesis appears and is presented to us in representations of the future in Sci-fi Art, given that time is represented in these images as the present figuration of a future that occurs in consciousness. To this end, it is appropriate to propose the following expository structure that will lead us to these phenomenological horizons on time: i) Define how the future is understood in Merleau-Ponty's phenomenological notion of time; ii) Descriptions of the futures speculated in the representations of Sci-fi Art; iii) Elaboration of the temporal synthesis from Merleau-Ponty's phenomenology for the understanding of Sci-fi representations.
